About the Artist

I’m Sydney, the artist behind Wild Rose Artistry. From a young age, I enjoyed lots of dress up, and experimented with different eyeshadow colours. In university, my passion for makeup grew, and I began my career in makeup at Sears Canada, on the Lancôme counter. After moving, I expanded my horizons with more training, practice, and education at MAC Cosmetics, until I transitioned fully into a freelance makeup artist. I have been the makeup artist for about two dozen weddings, so far, and have done makeup for countless photoshoots (beauty and headshots), a short film, events, and more!

I always try to bring lots of laughter and positivity to my sessions, and I enjoy sharing makeup tricks and tips as I go. I am punctual, come over prepared, and am enthusiastic about the projects I take on. I have a special love for product ingredients, which probably come from my education in Forensics and Chemistry, also tying into my love for SFX makeup.
